I'm building a Nixie Tube clock, mostly out of parts I found on the loading dock. I got 6 tubes, a load of transistors and some neat-o number dials I'm not sure what to do with. Of course I will actually have to get around to doing this.
The particular tubes I have aren't uprights like the ones shown in the picture, but I feel this picture gives a better feel for what these babys can do. My tubes are (insert model here) which are viewed from the end.
Documentation I found is great, with only minor changes to the schematic needed for my specific use. Here is some great information, and the schematic I might use. I doubt I will stick to it much, since one of the goals of the project is not to buy any part needed. (I haven't so far!)
March 30 2001, I found a power supply big enough to test out the tubes. They rule.
